Jay planned to take his two young kids to work with him. As 11-year-old Jonah jumped into the truck with his 9-year-old sister, Dad quickly walked to the rear of the truck while he left it running.
That’s when he noticed a thirty-something man approaching the car from the opposite side of the street. What followed was every parent’s worst nightmare.
Suddenly, Jay realized the truck was beginning to inch forward, with his two kids still inside. He ran to the driver’s side door, glared through the window and was stunned by what he saw next. Jonah was physically defending his little sister against the stranger in an incredible way, putting his years of jiu-jitsu practice — and innate brotherly instincts — to the best use possible.
Jonah says he wasn’t scared, despite the fact he was much smaller than the man attempting to kidnap him; he simply knew he needed to help his little sister, and that’s all he cared about.
Watch the video below to find out what Jonah did to save his life and the life of his sister. It’s no surprise that she now knows she’ll be forever safe with her big brother by her side.
