Lindsey is from Florida and has worked in online and print media. Her happy place is Michaels craft store.

Seven-year-old Hollywood newcomer Brookylnn Prince has accomplished so much in her short acting career — and now she is stealing the show during awards season.

She was cast in the lead role of the critically acclaimed movie The Florida Project, which was chosen by the American Film Institute as one of the top 10 movies of the year.

But all eyes were on the pint-sized actress during the 23rd Critics’ Choice Awards on January 11, 2018.

Brooklynn was nominated in the Best Young Actor category against the likes of Jacob Tremblay (who won the award last year) and Dafne Keen. Much to her surprise, Brooklynn ended up winning!

Her jaw dropped when she heard her name, and the 7-year-old began sobbing as she walked to the stage alongside her dad in her adorable red dress. Actors like Reese Witherspoon cheered her on as she accepted her amazing award.

“Wow, this is such a big honor,” Brooklynn said through her tears. “All the nominees are great. You guys are awesome, we should go and get ice cream after this!” She went on to thank her family and people associated with her movie as she tried to speak through her tears.

Her awesome night didn’t end there. Brooklynn was able to meet her idol, Angelina Jolie, who was also in attendance at the show.
