Brody Barnaky used to be terrified of police officers, but after his parents explained what cops do, Brody decided it’s the coolest job in the world. Now when Brody grows up, he wants to be a cop — he even dressed up as a police officer for Halloween last year!

For his fourth birthday, Brody wanted a full-on police-themed party. His mom decided to have the party at a bowling alley, and she thought Brody’s police idea was great.

She bought police decorations and a police badge-shaped cake. Brody was so excited to have all his friends at his police birthday party, but his mom had something else in store for him.

Brody’s mom contacted the local police department and asked if some of the officers could visit Brody’s birthday party, and they agreed.

Four officers showed up to Brody’s party, and when they arrived, Brody reacted in a way even his mom couldn’t have expected.

As soon as Brody saw that the police officers were there for his party, he went running toward them, jumping straight into one of the cops’ arms.

The officers showed Brody their badges and equipment, and they posed for lots of photos with the toddler. Brody couldn’t contain his excitement, and his grin spread from ear to ear in every picture. The officers also let Brody sit in the driver’s seat of one of the cars.
