A wedding is usually composed of many important moments from both the bride and groom’s lives. But for the bride especially, many of these moments have a special significance: She shares a tender moment with her father just before he gives her away at the altar and when they share their father-daughter dance.
Many tears are shed as a father reflects on how much his daughter has grown up. The same goes for the bride as she thinks about her dad’s love and many sacrifices over the years.
But a woman named Charlene didn’t want her dad to walk her down the aisle on the big day. After her parents’ divorce, they’d become estranged and didn’t communicate with one another.
A few years after the wedding took place, they finally reconciled. But Charlene had not been able to share a dance with her dad during her wedding.
Fortunately, she and her husband decided to renew their vows 20 years later.
Nothing changed: She wore the same dress and the groom also dressed the same. This time, however, Charlene’s dad was there to see her exchange vows with her husband. They even shared a father-daughter dance.
Check out the sweet moment in the video below. They both look so happy — don’t you think?
Please SHARE if you’re glad the relationship between Charlene and her dad is on the mend. After all, there’s nothing quite like the bond between a dad and his little girl!
