We’ve all heard the expression about getting cold feet before a wedding because of nerves, but one bride and groom had probably the scariest wedding ever!

Purple McMullen-Laird and Mickey Wilson got married at the canyons in Fruit Bowl, Utah but they didn’t just say “I do” next to the canyon. Nope, they did it 400 feet above the canyon floor!

“I was a little nervous about taking the plunge, you know getting married and changing my life,” Mickey said. “Because she and I were able to do this together there’s not a single other girl on the planet that I could do this with.”

Both the groom and bride walked on a thin tightrope that was 400 feet above the canyon floor to a colorful net that served at the altar.

“I was just focusing on walking out to the net and not letting the wind knock me off,” Purple said.

As with any wedding, guests lined the outer rim of the canyon and applauded when both the bride and groom safely made it to the altar. The bride dressed in a flowy purple and gold dress while the groom stayed traditional with a black tux.

Instead of walking back down the aisle of their tightrope, the couple took the ultimate plunge and jumped through a hole in the middle of the net and a 200-foot-rope bounced them around the open air of the canyon. Watch the crazy nuptials below!
