Brian Austin Green Addresses Commenters Who Say His Long-Haired Sons Look Like Girls

Brian Austin Green loves his kids just the way they are.

Brian and ex-wife Megan Fox share 7-year-old Noah, 6-year-old Bodhi, and 4-year-old Journey.

Both have gotten flack in the past for allowing their sons to grow their hair out. Some people believe the style is feminine and therefore inappropriate.

Criticism of the boys’ hair came up again after Brian shared a photo of them all on a Target run. The boys are in the back seat, all looking happy. Their wild hair was upsetting to some fans, however.

After seeing how many of the comments to his photo were critical, Brian replied. He explained that he understands some people are for the style and others are against it.

To him, as long as his children are happy and healthy, that’s all that matters. It’s especially important now as Brian and Megan recently split after 10 years of marriage.

Brian Austin Green is addressing fans’ issues with his kids. For a long time, he and ex Megan Fox have caught flack for allowing their three sons to grow their hair out. The two share 7-year-old Noah, 6-year-old Bodhi, and 4-year-old Journey.

In 2018, both were slammed for allowing their sons to wear dresses, as well as sport long hair.

“I let my kids wear what they want!” Megan told Today Parents.

“They will tell me what they are. It’s not my job to teach them that.”

Megan said their oldest, Noah, loves his long hair and that it mirrors his artistic personality. As for the dresses, Brian told Hollywood Pipeline, “My son, he’s 4.”

He continued, “I’ve heard from some people that they don’t agree with him wearing dresses. To them I say, ‘I don’t care. He’s 4 and if he wants to wear it then he wears it.'”

He also says dresses aren’t the only outside-the-box option he takes up. “And it’s dresses or goggles or slippers, whatever,” he explained.

“It’s his life; they’re not my clothes. I feel like at 4 or 5, that’s a time when he should be having fun. He’s not harming anyone wearing a dress. So if he wants to wear a dress, awesome. Good on him.”

Megan had noted that of the three, Bodhi has the best hair. “He has THE BEST hair, so it would be a crime to cut it,” she said.

“I’m going to let that be something he decides to do on his own.”

Late last week, Brian posted a picture of him and the three boys getting ready for a Target run. They all look happy, but people were bothered that they’re still sporting the long-haired look.

There’s something not right when they all look/dress like girls,” one commenter wrote.

“Bible talks about males shouldn’t have long hair like a female,” another added.

After seeing so much back-and-forth in the comments, Brian wrote a reply of his own.

“I’ve read some of the comments here. I’m not saying anything is right or wrong,” he wrote.

“I think some people with different opinions are attacked because opinions usually start with the words ‘I think’ or something similar. When people state opinions as facts is when arguments happen.”

“The fact is my boys have and like long hair,” he continued.

“In my opinion, they are beautiful and will still be and possibly be mistaken for girls if they wore matching short and tshirt combos and had short hair. Some people like boys and men with long hair. Some people don’t. Both opinions are ok.”

Brian surely has bigger things to worry about than what his fans think about his kids’ hair. His and Megan’s split has been admittedly bumpy, and publicly so. Surely, his primary concern is the kids’ well-being.

Earlier this summer, he got his younger three children together with his oldest son, 18-year-old Kassius with ex Vanessa Marcil. The gathering came just days after Brian’s birthday on July 15. He rang in the actual day with the younger boys.

Vanessa had previously criticized Brian for having an inconsistent relationship with Kassius. It seems that’s been fixed and she’s been willing to publicly acknowledge that as well.

“I was never in love with him but I am very proud of the fact that my son loves his dad unconditionally and has chosen to forgive,” she wrote in response to an accusation that she still has feelings for Brian.

“I celebrate Kassius’ love for his father and remain extremely grateful that Kass was finally invited back into his father’s life and was able to meet his youngest brother for the first time & finally start seeing his other two siblings again. 5 years apart with no explanation is devastating for children. For siblings.”

Despite previously suggesting that Megan and Brian were both responsible for the rift between him and Kassius, she’s recently shown Megan some support.

“I actually have respect for how @meganfox is finally living her life for herself & leaving her children out of her public life at this young age,” she said during an Instagram Q&A.

“I used to hide Kass from the public when he was young & never once spoke about our court case to Kass or publicly until Kass was grown & insisted I stop lying to protect. Megan finally living her life for herself is in itself a gift to her children.”

That said, critics have also noted Megan’s brand of “living life for herself” appears to include less time with her children. Some have noted that she hasn’t shared any pictures with her children in nearly a year and reports indicate Brian has them most of the time.

No one knows the whole story, of course, but many believe that when it comes to the younger boys, Brian’s the more stable and consistent parent.

Brian seemed to comment on the recent Megan and Vanessa camaraderie with a quote in his latest Instagram caption.

Just because you lost me as a friend doesn’t mean you gained me as an enemy. I am bigger than that. I still wanna see you eat, just not at my table.”
