Boy Spends 5 Days In Quarantine For The Mumps, Then Doctors Say The Test Was Negative

Tarek is a college freshman at Yale Universtiy who went to the infirmary for flu-like symptoms and was immediately quarantined for five days because doctors suspected that he had the mumps.

Being a young man secluded for five days in the health center on campus all alone, he had to get creative in making the time pass as quick as possible. So, thankfully, he had his social media to turn to.

But, instead of becoming consumed with other’s posts and life outside of the health center, he decided to share his own time in the health center on social media instead.

He documented every day while he was there with comic relief, and now he’s become an internet sensation!

Which is exactly how he landed on the show, The Doctors.

Thankfully, after the 5 days, he was healthy and ready to leave. But, then — the doctors say the test came back negative!

Could you imagine going through all of that and then finding out it was for nothing? The professionals on the show admit that they think they did the right thing, in trying to keep the public safe with the similar symptoms, but maybe it wasn’t the mumps?

Apparently, we’ll never know if it was for nothing or not. But it sure was entertaining to us. At least Tarek has a good sense of humor about it all, right?
