Jefferson Sharpnack and his two brothers recently moved to Ohio to live with their grandmother, Diane.
The three boys are enrolled in the school’s free and reduced lunch program.
Jefferson was excited to celebrate his ninth birthday with his friends at school — but that day he came home, upset and embarrassed, and told Diane he was having the “worst birthday ever.”
He then handed her a note from the school and told his grandmother what happened at lunch just a few hours earlier.
It all started when Jefferson went through the lunch line with his tray of cheesy breadsticks and side of sauce.
And it ended by the little boy feeling humiliated by the cafeteria staff in front of his classmates.
Diane was so outraged by what he revealed that she called the school to demand answers …
