In September 2014, Hillary and John got married in front of their most beloved friends and family members at the Florida Agricultural Museum. But the blushing bride knew she wanted to surprise her guests during the wedding reception. Secretly planning the big moment, Hillary and her dad Boomer managed to keep it completely under wraps — practicing way before the wedding date.

It started like a traditional father-daughter dance, and the duo swayed back and forth to “My Girl” by the Temptations. But at the 1:15 mark, the wedding guests received a huge surprise when the music cut off — and Hillary and Boomer unsuspectingly turned it up a notch (or 10) and busted out their real dance moves.

As Hillary walks off the dance floor to scold the DJ for cutting off their song, Boomer stands on the floor alone, gearing up for his big dance solo. The guests, of course, are shocked.

Hillary told LittleThings, “We knew we had our work cut out for us… For the next month and a month til the wedding, my dad and I practiced about every other day in secrecy. My husband nor my mom had a clue what we were up to, even when my dad purchased $75 dancing shoes because he thought it would make his Gangnam Style “more bouncy.” I had to buy a short dress to change into at the reception so that I could properly execute our moves. A purchase I blamed on the Florida heat. The price you pay for theatrics.”

It’s always wonderful to see a dad who genuinely cares about his daughter. “I would not trade this experience with my dad for anything in this world,” Hillary told us. “The time spent and memories made with him were beyond priceless.”

Please enjoy this amazing wedding surprise, and SHARE it with your friends on Facebook!
