Blake Shelton Scores Major Points As His Sweet Speech Makes Gwen Stefani Cry On ‘The Voice’

The knockout round of The Voice proved to be a tearjerker recently! Gwen Stefani‘s two remaining team members took the stage to see who would go forth to the live shows.

Destiny Rayne impressed the judges with her rendition of Demi Lovato’s “Tell Me You Love Me.” Then Rose Short stepped up and wowed with her performance of Jessie J’s “Big White Room,” which brought Kelly Clarkson and John Legend to their feet.

Gwen was having a tough time deciding, so she turned to her fellow judges for guidance. Blake Shelton stepped in and gave the perfect supportive boyfriend advice.

“Rose, I couldn’t be happier for you, that you have Gwen as your coach,” Blake told the singer.

“Because I’ve had Gwen as my best friend, and I can see the effect that it has on somebody, the way she helps you to believe in yourself.” Blake continued on to say Rose’s performance was the best of the knockout round so far, but everyone was still hung up on his sweet comments about Gwen.

“I guess I’m gonna cry over here!” Gwen exclaimed as Kelly regarded the comments were “very sweet.”

“That was beautiful,” John added. “This man actually has a heart!”

Gwen did move forward with Rose as everyone advised. “Rose is a two-chair turn that turned into a major threat,” she said of the singer. “Everybody is definitely scared of Rose.”
