There’s no shortage of places to buy shoes, but Zappos is one of the best. The company was established back in 1999 and was created to make the practice of buying the right shoes a little easier.
You might not know this, but they got their start under the name of “ShoeSite”. (To this day, going to ShoesSite.com will redirect you to Zappos.) Even though they’re best known for shoes, they’ve expanded a little bit. They also offer jeans, luggage, and purses.
Aside from their merchandise, they’re also known for their customer service. In 2017, Forbes interviewed CEO Tony Hsieh, who claimed that his ultimate goal was to answer every customer email in the span of an hour.
They also try to remember that each and every customer is a real person with a real story. The company has been known to occasionally send flowers when they find out a customer is making a return due to an unfortunate circumstance, or sit and listen when someone just needs to talk. It’s inspiring to hear such a new, fresh approach to customer service.
Zappos is currently having a post-holiday sale that includes shoes, clothing, and accessories and the discounts are truly enormous.
