Jeff Horner recently went online to order gifts for his fiancée Kylee’s birthday. After he got a UPS alert saying the packages were definitely delivered, Jeff walked outside to fetch the boxes — but they were nowhere to be found.
That’s when Jeff looked through his surveillance system and noticed a couple acting strange outside his house in Independence, Missouri.
A woman proceeded to steal the packages right off his front porch before his fiancée even got to open them! The woman was caught red-handed fleeing the property, boxes in hand, but Jeff had no idea who this woman actually was or how to track her down.
Jeff and Kylee weren’t about to let her get away with it. So, they posted the surveillance footage on the “Stolen KC” Facebook page, where community members work together to quickly communicate and broadcast a theft.
The couple hoped someone out there would recognize the thief and provide some helpful information. The response, however, blew them away.
In fact, Kylee says what happened next restored her faith in humanity.
