Giving birth to a baby is a big enough challenge on its own when everything goes right; I can’t imagine having to give birth when everything goes wrong!

Yet, one woman near Evanston, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, turned a nightmare scenario into something incredible.

This past week, a woman driving down Interstate 94 just after midnight realized she was going into labor. Talk about bad timing!

To make matters more complicated, the little baby inside was not willing to wait for Mom or anyone else. He was ready get out right then and there.

According to CBS Chicago, it was a little after 1 a.m. when the mom-to-be pulled off the highway and told workers at the Edens Spur tollway that she was in labor.

Can you imagine being one of those workers in the tollbooth? That’s one good excuse for avoiding the interstate toll.

The workers were quick to call 911, but before paramedics could arrive, the baby was already ready to be born!

Incredibly, the mother-to-be delivered the baby in her own car with no assistance. Now that’s a super mom, to say the least!
