Melissa Rauch — who plays Dr. Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz on the long-running CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory — is officially a mom!

The actress announced via Instagram on December 4, 2017 that she had given birth.

“I am beyond over the moon to share that our beautiful baby girl, Sadie Rauch, has arrived and our hearts are bursting at the seams with love for her. I will never take for granted the difficult road it took to get here. To those on that road: I’m sending you so much love today and always,” Melissa wrote alongside a stylized “It’s a Girl” image.

Baby Sadie is the first child for the 37-year-old actress and her screenwriter husband, Winston.

The TBBT star revealed her pregnancy back in July with an essay in Glamour that also discussed her fears about being pregnant after suffering a miscarriage the last time she was expecting.

“The miscarriage I experienced was one of the most profound sorrows I have ever felt in my life. It kick-started a primal depression that lingered in me. The image of our baby on the ultrasound monitor — without movement, without a heartbeat — after we had seen that same little heart healthy and flickering just two weeks prior completely blindsided us and haunts me to this day,” she wrote.

In October, Melissa also teamed up with other celebrities, including Nancy Kerrigan, June Diane Raphael, Vanna White, and Loni Love, to create a PSA about pregnancy loss.

“I am in tremendous awe of each of the women who joined me in making this video. They opened my eyes to the possibilities of what could happen if we lived in a world where this issue was spoken about more freely,” she wrote in an essay accompanying the video. “Perhaps we wouldn’t be so hard on ourselves or feel so isolated while going through the agonizing grief and devastation that so many of us encounter on the road to motherhood.”
