Betty White will be celebrating her 96th birthday in a little over a week, on January 17, 2018, and she looks better than ever!
The iconic actress seems to continue to have more energy than a toddler and definitely lives by the saying, “Age is nothing but a number.”
Recently speaking with Parade magazine, Betty revealed the two key items that keep her living a long, healthy life — and they may surprise you.
While many celebrities swear by kale, supplements, or drinking lots of water, Betty has a different recipe for youthfulness: vodka and hot dogs. “Probably in that order,” she told the magazine. The 95-year-old said the key is to “enjoy life!” Clearly, this means not limiting yourself to only eating foods you hate and instead enjoying all of the treats you love.
“It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look,” she explained. “I know it sounds corny, but I try to see the funny side and the upside, not the downside. I get bored with people who complain about this or that. It’s such a waste of time.”
Betty doesn’t think she’s going anywhere just yet but has thought about how she wants to be remembered. “I hope they remember something funny. I hope they remember a laugh,” she told Parade.
