Heaven gained another angel today. Duane “Dog” Chapman, star of Dog the Bounty Hunter, confirmed on Twitter that his wife, Beth Chapman, passed away at age 51 after years of battling cancer.

“It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side,” he wrote in a tweet honoring his late wife.

The sad news comes just days after Beth was placed in a medically induced coma after experiencing difficulty breathing.

Beth battled throat cancer for years and finally overcame the illness in 2017; however, in November 2018, Beth and Duane announced that the cancer had returned.

That didn’t stop her from continuing to do what she loved, though — which was to be on the road catching fugitives with her husband of 13 years right by her side.

“She has told me repeatedly that if these are her last days on earth she wants to spend every moment with me on the hunt, living life to the fullest and enjoying the time we have left together,” Duane told the Daily Mail.

“I have cried a lot over this because Beth is my everything,” he admitted. “This is by far the biggest test of my life.”

May you rest in peace, Beth.
