Lindsey is from Florida and has worked in online and print media. Her happy place is Michaels craft store.

Emily, a wife and mom of two, wanted to give her master bedroom a DIY makeover after it was dark and drab for close to eight years.

The best part? She only spent $240 to give the entire room a much-needed facelift! “I did a lot of DIYs and repurposed items that I already had,” Emily says in her video. “I really made it work and stretch our dollar — I’m so happy with the way it looks!”

If you’re looking for a great and easy way to transform your own bedroom, you’ll want to watch the clip below. Emily went for a farmhouse motif, and it’s really amazing what just a coat of paint can do to a room!

One of the most important steps was picking out a paint color. After the first color didn’t dry exactly as planned, Emily opted for a crisp white. One of the most amazing things she made, and probably my favorite, was the wooden headboard. It looks like it would cost big bucks at a showroom, but it only cost her $35!

To redo her so-so dresser, Emily bought items from a local dollar store and Target to make chic statement pieces.

Emily proves that you don’t need to spend a ton of money to transform your bedroom! I hope you get tons of ideas from her. Make sure to watch the whole video to see how it all came out!
