When it comes to looking for beautiful places to go on vacation, I have a very active imagination.

While I may not actually have the budget to go to Bali or this epic cliffside hotel in Peru, I definitely have an endless capacity for perusing travel sites and fantasizing about five-star hotels!

That’s why it’s always gratifying to see a hotel or house that I might actually, conceivably, be able to stay in one day, even if I don’t have any plans to go on vacation right this second!

Fortunately, that’s where the famous “Barn-Dominium” from FixerUpper comes into things!

If you’re a fan of Chip and Joanna Gaines’ HGTV reality show, you probably remember this epic barn conversion that the dynamic duo put together in season three of their renovation show.

The barn in, where else, Waco, TX, is a five-bedroom behemoth of a guest house, and now it can be all yours (for a limited time) via the home rental website HomeAway.

The beautiful “Barn-Dominium” first made waves on the third season of the beloved HGTV home renovation show Fixer Upper.

When Chip and Joanna Gaines found the place, it was a run-down barn in need of a serious facelift.

With a little TLC, it became a beautiful space perfectly suited for big family gatherings.

Inside, the beautiful converted barn is a lovely blend of modern touches and rustic, rural charm.

What was once a simple structure for cows and grain is now a luxurious spot perfect for getting together with family and friends for a beautiful country vacation.

This sunny sitting room looks like the perfect place to curl up with a good book.

Elsewhere, the barn displays one of its most intriguing features.

The barn is set up with a massive dining hall, complete with a banquet-style table that seats 18.

We can’t imagine a better setup for hosting a big family reunion, or, later in the year, a warm and welcoming Thanksgiving district.

The kitchen is no less impressive.

Fitted with a stunning reclaimed wood island and plenty of lighting, the kitchen is an expansive chef’s paradise.

If you’re in the position to whip up plenty of food for a crowd, this is definitely the base of operations you want!

The place comes with five bedrooms, ranging from the larger master to a number of smaller guest rooms.

All told, the house sleeps 15 guests comfortably.

Folks staying in the barn have their pick of a king bedroom, three queens, a child’s twin, and a queen sleeper couch.

The bathrooms are no less beautiful and luxurious.

There are two full baths, designed with lovely clean lines and glass-doored showers.

Naturally, they’re also fitted with a Joanna Gaines signature — subway tile in abundance.

Last but not least is the barn’s best feature: Location, location, location!

The house is on 16 acres of land, including a large lake full of bass.

Keen wildlife enthusiasts will be delighted by the opportunities for fishing and long leisurely walks!

If this lovely lakeside barn looks like your dream vacation, make sure to SHARE with fellow fans of rustic beauty!
