Barbie’s Latest Ambition Is Running For Office And She Has Her Own Campaign Team

Karen Belz has written for sites such as Bustle, HelloGiggles, Romper, and So Yummy. She's the mom of a sassy toddler and drinks an alarming amount of Sugar-Free Red Bull in order to keep up with her.

Barbie has taken on a lot of occupations throughout the years. If you could dream it, Barbie could become it.

She’s been a SeaWorld trainer, a teacher, and even a chicken farmer. Back in 1992, Barbie ran for president. And she tried to score the job a few other years as well. But she probably wasn’t very successful for one big reason — she didn’t have a team behind her.

Now, in 2020, Barbie is attempting to run again. And even better, Barbie and her team are wonderfully diverse and ready to take on the challenge. Stores like Target and Walmart are selling the campaign team together as a full set.

The set includes a candidate, campaign manager, campaign fundraiser, and voter. (Of course, fingers crossed that they all vote — since every vote counts.)

Candidate Barbie is all about communication. Wearing a pink jacket and black pants, she also has a microphone and a cellphone. And, of course, an American flag pin.

Her team is equally as fashionable. Her campaign manager is wearing a cool black-and-white print dress, and her fundraiser is dressed to impress in blue denim.

Campaign Barbie is a great message for young girls. Not only can Barbie be president, but women have several places in the world of politics. It’s crazy to think that there hasn’t been a woman president yet, but the day will eventually come. And the candidate might very well be a young woman who grew up knowing that women are capable of anything, thanks to products like this.

Barbie has definitely come a long way throughout the years. Watch the video to learn more about her impressive team.
