Every once in a while, it can be really fun to prank friends and family members — after all, that’s why April Fool’s Day is such a blast.
Whether you’re replacing sugar with salt, drawing on someone’s face while they’re asleep, or putting confetti in a car’s fans, it’s always hysterical to see an unsuspecting friend’s reaction.
And it’s even better if you can film or photograph their reaction to share it with the world!
One young woman, Amanda, downloaded a “bald” app on her phone, which makes you look like you’ve shaved part of your head in pictures.
She thought the selfies she’d taken with the app were pretty funny, so she sent them to her boyfriend.
She wasn’t planning on pretending it was real, but when he started freaking out over the photos, she decided to just run with it and acted like she really had shaved her head.

Amanda was having fun snapping selfies with her friend when they decided to use an app to make it look like they’d shaved their heads bald.
They thought the photos were hysterical, so Amanda sent one to her boyfriend.
Amanda explained on Imgur:
I had a balding app on my phone and decided to send a picture of myself using it to my boyfriend, assuming he’d probably know it was a joke.
Well, turns out he didn’t, so I just went with it.
The first picture Amanda sent her boyfriend was super goofy — she stuck out her tongue and made it pretty obvious this was a fake photo.
Her boyfriend, however, immediately assumed the picture was real, and he started freaking out.
When he started getting angry, Amanda decided to let the prank continue.
She thought her boyfriend’s reaction was too funny, so she wanted to see how long she could keep him convinced that she’d actually shaved her head.
Instead of saying anything, Amanda just responded with another picture, this time of her friend sporting the same chrome dome look.
When her boyfriend started asking questions, Amanda said that her friend had convinced her to do it for a good cause.
Her boyfriend went back and forth between believing it was real and convincing himself it wasn’t, but by the end of the conversation he was still confused.
After Amanda posted the exchange on Imgur, commenters jumped in to share their thoughts.
One man wrote, “I would 100% react like this even if I knew my wife was joshing, just to turn it around on her.”
“Hilarious!” another person wrote. “What’s the name of the app? Got to try this one day…”
Some people thought the boyfriend was overreacting, but most commenters just thought the whole prank was funny.
A few girls responded by saying they wanted to do this to their boyfriends!
