Baked Avocado Fries: A Healthy Alternative To French Fries

French fries are arguably the most popular (and most delicious) side dish around.

These fried potatoes go perfectly with any delicious burger — like this cheesy jalapeño cheddar burger — or are great entirely on their own. But unfortunately, French fries aren’t exactly the healthiest of options.

However, with so many creative culinary experts searching for healthy alternatives, there are “good-for-you” versions of nearly every dish out there. And, finally, I’ve found a healthier French fry option that tastes just as good as the original with this baked avocado fry recipe!

Ingredients
  • 2 avocados
  • 2 Tbsps. oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 14 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 400 °F.
  • Peel and slice avocados.
  • Cover slices in oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Dredge avocado slices in flour.
  • Dip slices in eggs, then coat in bread crumbs.
  • Place on greased sheet pan.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 400 °F.
  • Serve with dipping sauce and enjoy!
