When you read the word “summer,” what do you think of?

What immediately swirls around in my mind are images of longing on a sandy beach, grilling ribs on the barbecue, big, blockbuster movies, and enjoying time with friends and family in a gorgeous outdoors space you sprouted from dirt lot to a personal paradise.

If you happen to think along the same lines (and hey, great minds think alike), then I have found something you will find truly inspiring. It actually incorporates all those elements into one glorious package. I’m talking fire pit, a manmade beach, a hammock, and a little something extra you’ll have to see to truly believe.

Imgur user bsol27, who created this space with his father and hoped to complete the project by Memorial Day weekend 2015, thought up this ultimate DIY summer outdoor entertainment extravaganza. They finished right in the nick of time and even had some time leftover to post the really cool images online…

The project began by digging a simple hole. Originally they were going to dig out the center circle and pour a concrete pad for the fire pit to sit on.

But they decided against it and dug the whole thing out.
