A Chicago family is celebrating the birth of a baby boy who beat incredible odds — 1 in 48 million, to be exact. Kyrsten Moreno gave birth to baby Aiden at Amita Health hospital on her birthday.

However, it wasn’t just the new mother’s birthday, it was also the birthday of his grandmother, Nadine Hugmeyer.

Kyrsten knows exactly what this means, saying that when she was a kid she “stole” her mom’s birthday. Now, her son is stealing it from her! Ah, the cycle continues. But what parent wouldn’t devote everything to their child’s birthday each year, even if it sometimes came at their own expense?

“I’m like, there’s no way he’s going to be born on my birthday,” Kyrsten told CBS 2’s Audrina Bigos.

The mother could not have been more wrong. Who knows why this keeps happening in the family, although there probably isn’t a better birthday present than the gift of life!

“I don’t think it was a coincidence. I think it was meant to be,” Nadine said.

I was born the day before my mother’s birthday, with the original due date being her birthday, so I am sure my mom knows a thing or two about her celebration being hijacked. Still, she never complained even once.
