Baby Girl Is Born With Full Head Of Hair, And 7 Months Later It Looks Like A Lion’s Mane

Giovanna was born in Rome, Italy and currently resides in South Salem, New York. In her free time, she likes to cook with her children and grandchildren.

This 7-month-old Japanese baby is redefining “hair goals” one Instagram post at a time.

Baby Chanco, as she’s affectionately known to her tens of thousands of fans, has taken social media by storm after her mom, Mami, made an account dedicated to the infant’s massive (and adorable) head of hair.

Chanco was born with a full head of hair in December 2017, according to Marie Claire, and has racked up more than 177,000 Instagram followers (and counting) in her first few months of life. Aptly titled “hair diary,” her account is filled with photos of her various hairstyles, from voluminous blowouts to half-updos embellished with bows.

And in case you were wondering: Chanco’s hair isn’t a wig, nor has it been Photoshopped. Her mane is 100% real, which makes it all the more impressive.

Forget peach fuzz: “When she was born she came out with a LOT of hair,” Mami told HuffPost.

“We wanted to document it since we thought it will be fun,” Mami added.

It’s safe to say that the internet agrees: People can’t get enough of Chanco’s luscious locks!

“Omg your daughter soooo cute!! I thought my son had a lot of hair until I saw your lion king hahaha,” someone wrote in the comments section of one of Chanco’s posts.

It’s “more hair than I’ve ever had in my life,” said one woman.

Added another: “Your baby is beautiful! And that hair… absolutely amazing.”

Mami told HuffPost that she’s “so, so surprised” by the extent of Chanco’s popularity online.

“But there is no denying that she has a lot of hair, and this is pretty unique to see,” she admitted.

“We hope people can enjoy seeing both her and her hair grow.”

Earlier this month, Chanco got her very first haircut at the tender age of 7 months old.

(Can you imagine how much pressure that stylist must’ve been under?!)

The final result? Flawless:

According to Yahoo Lifestyle, some babies are born with thick heads of hair because of hormones, but they lose it when they’re a few weeks old.

Chanco’s hair doesn’t look like it’ll start thinning anytime soon, although its texture and color might change as she gets older.

(Fingers crossed that it stays this epic for a long, long time.)
