Being from Florida, I’m used to running into strange creatures and not thinking much of it. Like snakes in my pool or an alligator in my school’s library — both completely true stories.
So, I totally get it when this California family didn’t freak out too badly when a baby bear came strolling up to his family’s sliding glass door.
The family is hanging out inside when the baby bear makes an appearance. “Oh my gosh!” Dad says. The kids turn around and stare at the furry animal from the safety of the house, looking out glass doors.
Then, from the left-hand corner, the mama bear walks over to her baby.
“There’s a photo bomber,” Dad says with a laugh.
The baby bear, like many kids, is inquisitive and makes her way over to a bright pink flamingo pool float. “No, no, no! That’s our flamingo!” the dad screams.
“Don’t pop it,” Mom adds as the little bear throws around the float and bites it.
Every parent can understand mama bear’s next move. She watches her baby and even nudges her as if to tell her to knock it off — sound familiar?
“Mom’s like, ‘Uh, can we go now?’” the family’s dad jokes while filming. Finally, the mama bear walks away and the baby bear follows her. The only problem? She won’t let go of the inflatable flamingo pool toy. She drags it across the grass!
