Halloween is the time of year that kids and adults can dress up as what they’ve always wanted to be.

Many kids run around wearing capes and pretending to fight bad guys, dressed as their favorite superheroes. They protect their city and accept candy as payment.

But not every kid dresses up as a character they’ve seen on TV or in the movies. Sometimes, they like to dress up as historical figures, or even better, people they actually know!

Four-year-old Jayden Hayes decided that this year, he was going to dress up as his dad! Jayden’s father, Jermaine, is an Air Force staff sergeant stationed in Iraq, according to ABC News.

Jermaine’s wife, Kavasia, organized the entire surprise. According to Jermaine, he thought he’d be surprising his son while he was out trick-or-treating. He had no idea there was a party involved!

The wonderful moment took place a few days before Halloween in the family’s hometown. Jayden misses his father quite a bit while he’s deployed, but thankfully he was able to see him and have such a heartwarming reunion!

If you love seeing military parents come home to surprise their children, you will also love this army dad surprising his child on the basketball court.

Don’t forget to SHARE this adorable family reunion with all your friends and family!
