With tailgating season currently in full swing, my friends and family have been planning to put together the most scrumptious savory and sweet treats.

Hands down, barbecue-inspired recipes are my absolute go-to dishes at large gatherings. There’s something about being able to hold and carry your food that makes me very happy.

But I love handheld desserts just as much! And what better ingredient to utilize than sweet, crisp apples that are now in season? I’ve tried making this delicious caramel apple crisp a couple of times at home, and it always turned out to be a crowdpleaser.

However, this incredible apple pie recipe is unlike anything I’ve seen — or tasted — before!

This is definitely one recipe you’ll want to print out!
