Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are taking “amicable exes” to a whole new level!
The former pair were together for a decade before separating in 2017 and divorcing the next year.
But since they share a son, Jack, the two have remained extremely committed to maintaining a friendly relationship with one another for the sake of co-parenting. In fact, Anna has repeatedly spoken publicly about just how much she loves Chris’ new fiancée, Katherine Schwarzenegger.
Chris proposed to Katherine back in January. Anna previously revealed on her Unqualified podcast that her ex had texted her after proposing. But more recently, she admitted that Chris had also called her prior to popping the question.
She made this revelation during an appearance on divorce attorney Laura Wasser’s Divorce Sucks! podcast.
“Grudge-holding is not something that Chris and I do. So, we wanted to make sure, of course, that [son] Jack was happy, but that we were happy and supportive of each other and that we could have this fantasy idea of, do we all spend Christmas together? Do we all vacation together?” Anna said, per Fox News.
The Mom star went on to reveal that she’d been told about Chris’ plan to propose ahead of time.
“How do we make sure that everybody that we love feels safe, and that we also respect the love that we had for each other, and have for each other? So, he was so sweet, as he always is. He called me, and he was like, ‘So, I’m going to ask Katherine to marry me. I just want to give you a heads-up.’ And I was like, ‘That’s awesome!'” she continued.
Chris and Anna have enjoyed an atypically amicable divorce. Here’s hoping more former celebrity couples follow in their footsteps!
