Starving Dog Lives In An Alley For A Month, But Now He’s Barely Recognizable

There are tons of dogs out there who really need someone to see beyond their rough exterior. Most homeless canines, underneath all of the fleas, dirt, and grime are almost, without failure, the sweetest dogs you’ve ever met.

However, when you see a stray dog who looks especially afraid of humans, it’s best to call in the experts to handle the situation. If you try to chase a terrified dog around, you might accidentally lead them into danger, such as traffic, and chances are it will be incredibly difficult to actually catch them and get them to safety.

When a homeowner in California noticed that a sickly dog was living near his home for about a month, he called Hope for Paws in the hopes that they would be able to take the pooch to safety.

When rescuers arrived on the scene, the dog tried to run away from them. However, no starving dog can resist a cheeseburger, and these professionals know that could be used in their favor.

After the pooch, now named Amos, was safe, they knew he desperately needed a bath and a trim. Once he got to the hospital, the vets were able to get him cleaned up and scheduled for all of his necessary surgeries.

Now that Amos is all spiffed up, he’s unrecognizable! This dog rescue transformation is so amazing — it’s like he’s a whole new dog.

Thank goodness for folks like those at Hope for Paws, because pups like Amos absolutely do deserve a happy and healthy life, home, and family.
