3 Men In Their 70s Bow Heads On Stage, Then Simon’s Face Changes When They Belt Soulful Song

by Jess Catcher
Jess grew up in Oklahoma before moving to New York to become a writer. She has a cat named Agnes.

The Masqueraders’ second performance on America’s Got Talent did not disappoint. In fact, as you can see at the 1:30 mark in the video below, they clearly left a big impression on the most dour of judges, Simon Cowell.

Not only are their vocal harmonies incredibly smooth and soulful, but each of the men also happens to be over 70 years of age. When most folks decide it’s time to retire, these guys just keep chugging along.

As one of the men explains, “We never stop dreaming… Even when things didn’t look good, we kept dreaming.”

If the look on the judges’ faces is any indication of the group’s future, the Masqueraders’ dreams may finally be coming true!

Each wore matching brown cowboy hats and outfits, but they weren’t singing a country ditty. Instead, they tackled Sam Cooke’s soulful ballad, “Bring It on Home to Me.”

The trio started with their heads bowed before launching into the beautiful classic. The men’s voices blended together so spectacularly, but it was the man standing in the middle who really gave the performance some gusto — he belted out every “yeah!” like a total pro.

Take a look to hear what Simon had to say about the Masqueraders before the group even began their performance.

And don’t forget to SHARE their stunning harmonies with all of your friends on Facebook!
