Often, traditional dance and music mediums get lost in the sea of more contemporary performances. As there are reality competition shows looking for the next great pop singer or all-around dancer, and with award shows honoring all things contemporary, it’s much more rare to find classical musicians, opera singers, or dancers in traditional forms like ballet in pop culture.

When traditional performers have a moment to showcase their talents, then, it can be truly unique and dazzling.

That was the case with the Atlanta Professional Dance Academy, which took the stage at the famed Lincoln Center in NYC during the “Stars of Today Meet Stars of Tomorrow” gala.

The group performed a routine titled “Jasmine,” and earned a huge amount of praise from their stunned audience. This same group made a splash auditioning for America’s Got Talent, where they impressed the notoriously tough judges.

This unique performance incorporated traditional Chinese fan dancing and ballet, and is just so stunning to watch! The way they choreographed sections of the fans to open so precisely is mesmerizing to watch and they beautifully utilize both sides of the fans to add splashes of color.

You have to see the performance that is stunning everyone who sees it and please SHARE if you’re also impressed!
