Woman Goes Viral After A Stranger Calls Her Baby Son ‘Repulsing’

When he isn't writing about the things he loves most, you can find him in the great outdoors!

Children are nothing but little sponges. If a parent does or says something in front of a baby or toddler, you better believe that that little bundle of joy has noticed and probably will try to emulate Mom or Dad!

So it’s always important to be aware of this when around children. They’re small, but they certainly aren’t clueless. If you use a cuss word around them, there’s a chance they’ll eventually repeat it, and if you say something cruel to their face, you might just break their little hearts.

So when proud mother Dallas Fowler was waiting in line at her local Walmart, something happened to her and her boy that is honestly shocking in every single sense of the word. Her little boy, Jameus, has to live with a stoma due to a rare disease, and when a complete stranger saw it for a fraction of a second, she said something that was truly disgusting.

Mom couldn’t believe what had happened, and neither will you. But thankfully, she responded in the most amazing way possible.

When Dallas found out she was going to have a little baby, she must have been overjoyed as she planned for the future life her family would have!

Jameus came out a beautiful little baby boy. But unfortunately, he was born with a rare sickness called Hirschsprung’s disease. While the disease itself is rare, the effects it has are similar to those of over 500,000 Americans. This darling little baby had to undergo countless surgeries, and he would have to wear a stoma in order to expel waste.

A stoma is a surgically created opening that allows the body to function properly. When he was 2 weeks old, his colon ruptured. This little boy nearly died, but the stoma saved his life. For whatever reason, no one talks about these lifesaving bags, or when they do, it’s in a degrading manner. This “taboo” subject is barely ever even mentioned in our country.

Dallas’ little boy is only 2 year old, but he has to face challenges that most of us don’t even have to think about. There’s a very large chance that Jameus will have to live with these his whole life, so Dallas says it’s her job to teach this boy to look at his body with a positive outlook. It’s her job to teach him to love himself.

But when she was in line at her local Walmart, the unthinkable happened: Dallas picked little Jameus up, and his shirt lifted enough for the stoma on his stomach to be visible for a a fraction of a moment.

The woman behind them in line let out a scream of terror before rudely asking, “Why in the world would you let someone do that to him?”

Dallas explained that Jameus suffers from colon issues that require him to wear stoma bags. She explained that there are over 500,000 Americans that live with this condition. But the woman had one reply for the mother and child:

“Well, I am sorry, but I just think that is so ‘repulsing,’ can you please keep his shirt down?”

But later that night, she sent out an open letter on her Facebook that has since gone mega viral for all the right reasons!

Dallas was left in utter shock. She held back her rage to set a good example for her child on what an adult actually is. She told the woman goodnight and went to another line.

Once again, the boy is 2 years old and heard a complete stranger “adult” call his body “repulsing.”

Dallas said on her Facebook: “See what that woman doesn’t understand is, when my son is healthy, he is no different than any other 2 year old. He runs, plays, swims and goes to daycare. When he’s healthy, you wouldn’t be able to look at him and know he’s had over 20 surgeries and procedures. “

Please be kind and choose your words wisely, especially should you choose to comment about something that is none of your business. Everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about, and my son is winning his.”

If you are able to, please think about helping baby Jameus in his health needs on his GoFundMe account!
