Even in kindergarten, Aly Stolz stood a full head and shoulders above her classmates. By the time she was 12, she was already 6’3″.
Towering above her peers didn’t come without its hardships. School bullies called her names like “Godzilla” and “monster,” and she was constantly teased for being different.
Now at 27 years old, Aly stands at 6’9″ and has size 14 feet. Activities that most people find generally uneventful, like shopping for clothing, can be nightmarish for Aly. Over the years, the negative comments and taunting resulted in severe anxiety.
Ultimately, though, she says this made her a stronger person.
She still attracts attention wherever she goes, but now it’s Aly who is having the last laugh. When she hit her early 20s, Aly finally learned to embrace her body by modeling and celebrating her goddess-like stature.
Listening to Aly describe her experiences in the video below is pretty darn inspiring. If only more “different” people had her level of confidence and bravery.
