I’ll be the first one to admit, I love music more than anything — yet I take it for granted. I take for granted the fact I can hear it, listen to it and enjoy it.
I can’t imagine what it would be like to never know the true power of music… which is exactly what young Auguste was faced with since he was born. Well, until now that is!
I’ll let Auguste’s mother describe this awesome moment:
“Our son, Auguste, was born deaf. A few months back we flew all the way from Montreal to Los Angeles where he underwent brain surgery to receive an Auditory Brainstem Implant (ABI). His device was initially activated on June 12th of 2014.
One month and a half post activation, here he is, hearing music for the very first time, dancing along side his dad, Christophe. We never thought the first song he would hear was Ma Baker by Bonnie M but we’re not complaining… This moment was absolutely amazing for all of us! Check out his reaction… he’s so happy to hear!!!!!”
