After news broke of the Grenfell Tower fire in West London, millions of people were grief-stricken. On June 14, 2017, the deadly blaze took the lives of 17 and left even more people traumatized by the incident.

One person who really took this tragedy to heart was the popular singer Adele, so she decided to do something about it.

These days, celebrities usually respond to calamities and public problems by tweeting or sending out a written message on the internet. When Adele found out about the Grenfell Tower fire, she did something much more meaningful.

It was something that touched the hearts of everyone around her.

She visited the scene in person within 24 hours.

In the video below, posted on June 15, 2017, fans at the Grenfell Tower site spot Adele and can’t believe she made the trip. They take pictures of her as she hugs as many victims and related persons as she can. She also asks if anybody needs help.

In this situation, Adele wasn’t the singing superstar we know her to be. Instead, she was just another human, trying to lend a hand to those who needed it the most.
