The judges on America’s Got Talent see a lot of incredible performances, but this one truly took their breath away.

When the video begins, Elena and Sasha enter the stage in bright red acrobat uniforms — it’s clear they’re going to do some kind of athletic performance, but the judges are stumped when Elena says they do “perch pole.”

“He balances me on his face,” Elena explains. The audience laughs at Elena’s pert response, and she keeps them laughing with her humorous responses to Simon’s questions.

Despite her funny introduction, Elena isn’t actually a comedian — her talent, “perch pole,” involves her balancing at the top of a pole, while her partner provides very unusual support from below.

We’ve seen Simon react strongly to performances before, but he seemed genuinely nervous for this duo.

He makes a point of asking, “How dangerous is this? Have you nearly died doing what you do?” Elena responds by saying, “Oh yeah, loads of times.”

And within 20 seconds of the music starting, it becomes very clear exactly how dangerous this is; she is high up in the air and there are no wires or nets to be seen.

But that’s just the beginning of her performance — watch the video below to see the rest of what she and Sasha do!
