Jason Furr and Bradley Pinion have been friends for years. Bradley, the current punter for the San Francisco 49ers, met Jason when they were kids in church.

“I’ve always loved Jason,” Bradley said. “‘Jason hugs’ are what we call them — he gives the best hugs.”

So when Bradley got nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award and received received a pair of Super Bowl tickets, the pro footballer knew just what to do with them.

But first he had to contact Jason’s mom, Marla, to let her in on his plan.

Once he told her about his idea of bringing Jason along for the big game, Marla went to Jason and said that they should surprise Bradley with a video call. Jason jumped at the chance to speak with his old friend again.

“Me and him is like brothers,” Jason said. In the video below, you can see Jason and his parents calling Bradley up, who then began telling them about his nomination for the award.

“So, with the Walter Payton Man of the Year comes two Super Bowl tickets, and I wanted to invite you and your dad to the Super Bowl this year,” Bradley said.

And Jason and his family were completely overwhelmed!
