10 Celebs Who Swear By The Keto Diet

Celebrities may seem to have perfect bodies, but it takes a lot of work to get there. In the lives of the rich and the famous, those efforts are heavily supported by hired help. A celebrity’s team can include chefs, personal trainers, nutritionists, and more. In celebs’ quest to work on their health and fitness, one diet that many of them are drawn to is the keto diet. The low-carb/high-fat diet is being praised by some as a lifestyle change that can help melt the pounds away.

Noom, which offers a psychology-based program for addressing health and wellness goals, gives insight into how keto works. “Foods high in fat and protein result in more satiety compared to processed carbohydrates,” the app explains. “This change in fuel sources leaves followers feeling less hungry and consuming fewer calories throughout the day.”

By reprogramming your body to address cravings and hunger in a more productive way, you can reap the benefits of the keto diet. It’s important to note that researchers are still learning about how keto as a long-term lifestyle adjustment impacts the body. For a change that helps with weight loss, however, it’s a viable option for many, including some of your favorite celebs.

Halle also spoke to People about keto. “I eat healthy fats all day long, avocado, oil, coconut oil and I use butter, but don’t have any sugar. So when your body gets trained to burn fats, it’s constantly on fat-burning mode — that’s the secret,” she noted.

In one post, he shared his suggestions for those starting with keto. “If you are just beginning #Keto for your weight loss journey and feel overwhelmed…relax…try not to overthink with thoughts like, ‘I can never eat carbs again!?…I’m going to fail!'” he explained.

“For me, taking it one meal at a time has always been a huge factor…your hungry brain could be very tempt[ed] to eat junk food, but your full and satiated brain thinks more rationally.”

“It’s always tricky the first couple of days, but [Alicia’s] willpower is just unbelievable, and she didn’t complain, even though I could see she was struggling a little bit. She kept on bringing it every day.”

“My husband has gone full keto, which I don’t mind telling you is something I could never do. I just don’t have that level of discipline,” she told Bon Appetit.  “Mark says that I’m carb-o, because I always eat his bun if he gets a burger. And the fries.”
